Data Sharing in Intermittently Connected Hosts

Lead Inventor: Henning Schulzrinne, Ph.D.

Wireless Networks with Sporadic Access in Buildings, Subways, Remote Areas Wireless networks may lack coverage inside a building, subways, aircrafts, and in remote areas. This intermittent connectivity means that individual participants are not permanently connected to the network, but rather only have sporadic access to the network.

Algorithm Architecture for Data Sharing in Intermittently Connected Hosts The technology is a new architecture and a set of algorithms for distributing information in networks with intermittent connectivity, it describes a mechanism to provide data sharing in intermittently connected hosts.

Applications:
• Data sharing in wireless networks

Advantages:
• Data sharing in intermittently connected wireless networks
