This technology is an end-to-end software protocol for smooth and multiparty video conference calling over the internet.
Current software for video conference calling suffers from multiple limitations. There are limitations in the number of computers that can participate and the call streams require high internet bandwidth and local processing power to operate smoothly. As a result, specialized equipment and network infrastructure are required to achieve seamless video calling.
This technology enables multi-party conference calling using localized equipment without specialized digital signal processing. The technology is session initiation protocol (SIP) compliant and includes media compressing and decompressing components. During a call, this technology compensates for signal arrival jitter and subtracts unwanted signal components to smoothly deliver a conference stream to all participants. The technology also provides a system architecture and supporting centralized server system, which can be operated on commodity hardware.
