Columbia University has been pleased to offer Kermit at exceptionally low fees since the 1990s, providing what we believe has been a valuable contribution to our community of users. Unfortunately, Columbia has determined it can no longer provide ongoing maintenance and technical support for Kermit. As a result, C-Kermit, E-Kermit, and Kermit 95 have been released as open-source software versions available here: http://www.kermitproject.org/index.html
If you would like to license the software for distribution without any technical support or maintenance from Columbia, we require distributors to enter into an omnibus distribution agreement. Seat licenses to the Kermit software itself are perpetual, so you may continue to use your existing licensed copies of Kermit under the terms of the agreement for as long as you like.
A tiered pricing structure is available online here: http://www.columbia.edu/kermit/k95pricing.html. Though the page is for Kermit 95, the pricing structure applies to all versions of Kermit for distribution. The minimum order is 100 copies/seats.
